Wow, it's Div 1!

Written by AGCap at 16:39 16/10-2018

Last season my team AG Cap raised into Division 2 for the first time and I was quite surprised that we stayed there. This season we considered ourselves a real Div2 team, made some results, quite a lot of Top9 finishes, etc. Somehow the team climbed up the rankings and surprisingly we now find ourselves among the best teams in this game.

This is my first and only team in this game, so I made quite many beginner mistakes initially. Overall it took me 2 years, 4 months and 3 days to get till Division 1. I have an impression that it is quite fast by the standards of OCM.

My key findings from this journey:
   - Focus on money. It is so easy to lose money in this game. Don't scout, don't buy and don't train mediocre talents. Don't go too much over the RV unless it is a real gem.
   - Think of yourself as of Div 1 team from Day 1 in this game. Even while I was sitting back in Div 8 with just 2-3 trained riders, I was forming my team to be capable of competing on the highest level back then.

So, let's see our team's progress from here. Our current season rank is 24th, but it will probably be much more difficult to continue scoring in Div 1.

Yes, I have these. Spent a year saving up for them. Now reaping the benefits ????

Zakisu Pirtina at 19:02 16/10-2018
That just seems too much of a waste. Theres no way i can/want to afford 500k frame, 300k group sets and 125k wheels. Do you have these or something cheaper?

AGCap at 18:43 16/10-2018
Yes, you are actually going with exactly the same strategy (I am following your team a little bit). I also suggest you buy all the best equipment before investing into riders.

Congrats on being the 1st team from Latvia to achieve this. I am (hopefully) on a similair path with my new team, see you in Div1 soon :)
